My career in the NSW Police spanned more than 20 years between 1996 and 2018. After being medically retired, I experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to access finance while receiving workers' compensation and income protection, including being laughed at by mortgage brokers when simply trying to explore my options. It was, quite literally, adding insult to injury. Following my recovery, I made it my purpose to help serving and former emergency services workers navigate lending situations that many people simply don’t understand. I now specialise in assisting Police, Ambulance, Fire and other emergency services members, particularly those with more complex circumstances. Through this niche specialty, I have obtained access to a specialist lender for emergency service workers that is not accessible through any other mortgage broker in Australia. This allows me to provide lending solutions that many clients would otherwise never know existed. Now based in Adelaide, I continue to work with emergency services clients right across Australia. Due to my longstanding connection to NSW Police, many of my clients are interstate, and I pride myself on always striving to find a solution, even when others say there isn’t one. In addition to finding lending solutions, I assist those that can no longer serve in retraining for a career in finance broking.
