KSC Law was born from firsthand experience. Both Luke Armstrong and Matthew Dumars are veterans who have navigated the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) claims process themselves. They saw how complex, stressful, and opaque the system can be, and how well-meaning free services like Returned and Services Leagues (RSLs) often struggle to provide adequate support. While these organisations try to help, the complexities of the DVA system require extensive knowledge and legal expertise to ensure claims are properly managed, maximised, and fully represented.
From these experiences, Luke and Matt set out to build a service that does things differently. They wanted a firm that treats veterans with respect and empathy while delivering strong, practical outcomes. With the guidance and expertise of Legal Practice Director Aylar Koh, KSC was incorporated as a law firm, giving it the structure and authority to provide expert legal representation across Australia, both in person and virtually.
